Pals feared the singer, who is supporting the lads on stage, was heading for rehab after she collapsed back stage with exhaustion at their Manchester gig.

So the boys won’t be happy to hear that she was spotted necking drinks at the Lowry Hotel bar instead.

Take That were left one support act short after the stroppy diva said Glastonbury had worn her out and refused to take to the stage minutes before she was due on.

GaGa is now resting on “doctor’s orders” and is due to return at the Wembley gigs at the weekend.

But Gary Barlow isn’t happy about her skipping his homecoming event. He told fans: “Gary Go got us out of a real spot. You should have heard me backstage.”

The Just Dance hitmaker dropped in at the Orange RockCorps HIV Support Centre in Manchester to lend a helping hand.

And the 23 year old reveals she is a longtime volunteer.

She tells The Sun newspaper, “I’ve been doing volunteer work since I was two. When I can, I do everything I can for those in need.

“When I was in school in New York I did 60 hours a year of volunteering with young people hungry for a life in theatre. It was for kids who didn’t go to schools with good theatre facilities. It was a great cause.”

As the two singers - who met last year when they recorded covers of each other’s upcoming material - watched Gaga passionately kiss a male model in the video clip for her new song ‘Paparazzi’, the 40-year-old musician moaned and said: “I’d like to be that guy. I’ll give you a cervical exam.”

The alternative musician is also a fan of the 23-year-old singer’s unique image because he sees himself in her.

He told Britain’s Observer newspaper: “I was most impressed by her paparazzi photos. I thought that it looked the way that rock stars should look, as exciting as something that Warhol or Dali would do.

“And I don’t consider her to be similar to her contemporaries - the other girls that do pop music - simply because she knows exactly what she’s doing. She’s very smart, she’s not selling out, she’s a great musician, she’s a great singer, and she’s laughing when she’s doing it, the same way that I am.”

Gaga agrees: “I don’t feel that I look like the other perfect little pop singers. I think I look new. I think I’m changing what people think is sexy.”

Pop sensation Lady Gaga is making good on her promise to come back to Seoul for a solo concert. She will be back for a concert Aug. 9 at Olympic Hall, Olympic Park, as part of “The Fame Ball Tour.”

Since her debut last year, Lady Gaga has topped the charts around the world with dance songs like “Just Dance,” “Poker Face,” “Paparazzi,” and “Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say).” Her flamboyant stage performances and taste for avant-garde and haute couture fashion also attracted much attention, leading some to call her the “new Madonna.”

The 23-year-old New York native visited Seoul three weeks ago to promote her album “The Fame.” During her press conference, Lady Gaga said she was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic reception from Korean fans.

Lady Gaga, who is currently planning a fall tour with hip-hop star Kanye West in the U.S., had hinted then at a possible concert in Seoul, although she gave no details.

Korean fans were given a taste of what to expect from Lady Gaga during a show at Club Answer, Cheongdam-dong, June 17. She had the crowd of 600 fans on their feet and dancing as she performed songs like “Beautiful Dirty Rich” and “Love Game.”

Lady Gaga proved she also had the vocal chops when she sang an acoustic version of “Poker Face,” while playing the piano.

Lady Gaga obviously takes her music, fashion, and performances quite seriously. The show also featured a quirky, short film “I Shot Candy Warhol” starring Lady Gaga herself.

“You can say the philosophy of Gaga is fashion-music-technology-performance art. It’s an interactive experience for the audience. I design everything together and New York is the nexus of my inspiration. I was born and raised in New York City. I am inspired by street fashion and the attitude. Andy Warhol is a huge inspiration of mine and I have a lot of Pop Art elements in the show. I am so passionate about my music,” she said.

Popstar Lady Gaga has said that she has been doing voluntary work since the age of two.

The 23-year-old songtress, real name Stefani Germanotta, was present at Orange RockCorps HIV Support Centre in Manchester and revealed that she has been doing good deeds ever since she was two years old.

LADY GAGA has pulled out of a second gig supporting British band TAKE THAT, due to a mystery illness.
The Just Dance hitmaker axed her warm-up slot for the group on their Circus Tour in Manchester, England on Saturday night (27Jun09) after feeling unwell, although fans at the show were not given an explanation for her absence.
And the pop sensation missed a second concert on Sunday (28Jun09) because she was still feeling poorly.
Her spokesperson tells the BBC, “Lady Gaga was feeling unwell on Saturday and, after consulting her doctor, the decision was reluctantly taken that she was unable to perform with Take That at Old Trafford last night and tonight.
“Lady Gaga is currently resting on doctor’s orders, but is looking forward to rejoining Take That at Wembley next weekend.
“She would like to thank Take That for supporting her decision, and apologise to the band and her fans for being unable to perform.”

Pop star Lady Gaga made a number of strange backstage demands during a recent show - her list was 25-page long and included soft drinks to roasted chicken and deli meats.
The British singer asked for 12 different kinds of soft drinks, six types of vitamin water, non-smelly cheese, a roasted chicken, deli meats and starfish tuna during her performance on June 26, thesun.co.uk reports.

Her list included five large sofas, three coffee tables, three floor-length mirrors and two professional make-up mirrors.
